Rooibos or " Aspalathus Linearis " growns in the clean mountain air on the slopes of the Cederberg mountains in South-Africa.
The local people of the area discovered at the turn of the last century that the fine needle-like leaves of the wild "Aspalathus Linearis" plant made a very tasty aromatic tea.

The bushes, once harvested, are dried by the African sun to create a tea distinguished by its russet colour, bright clarity, its warm aromatic fragance and full, brisk flavour.

Rooibos is a herb that contains no caffeine and is claimed to have a soothing effect on headaches, disturbed sleeping patterns and digestive problems. This herbal is best brewed with an infuser or cotton tea bag.

Bring water to just short of boiling and pour over infuser. Brew for 3-5 minutes. Remove infuser.
This reddish orange tea has a fruity taste with a slightly sweet note.
Brewed Rooibos contain the following nutrients:
Iron, Patassium, Calcium, Copper, Zinc, Magnesium, Flouride, Manganese and Sodium.

Additionally this beautiful and healthy tea is packed in our own handcrafted and 100% recycled paper gift bags. Not only is the paper hand-made but the bag is hand-cut, hand-glued and the label is hand written. It comes with a tiny handcrafted envelope and card for a greeting note.

This is an all South-African hand-crafted product that makes for a wonderful and special gift.
